We Will Be Your Love - Scott Sheridan, African Christrian Restoration Evangelism, Bainbridge, OH

Scott is the kick-off speaker for Englewood's 55th annual Faith Promise Missions Conference. Scott was born in Cocoa, FL back in 1963. He married his high school sweetheart, Shelly in 1980. In 1982, he began at Central Florida Bible College and had the privilege of studying under some of the great names in our brotherhood; Roger Chambers, Jim Smith, and Glenn Bourne among others. Scott has served in ministries in Florida, Washington State, and Ohio. Scott is a huge Florida Gators fan. In 2007 Scott received an email from Benard Lusweti from Kenya, wanting to learn the Bible. That began a long Bible Study program via email. He soon began sharing these lessons with other preachers. Benard also began operating an . orphanage about the same time. In 2016, Scott asked Benard if he would like to start a Bible College which could use Bernard's 12 or so students as a core. Bernard was very excited and soon reported he had over 100 people wanting to take classes. Scott and his son, Stephen, first made a fact-finding trip to Kenya in May 2016. Their first class was September 2016. On November 8, 2017, Scott's fifth trip over, he took his wife, Shelly, for her first trip. She had a heart attack and died shortly after going through customs. Scott and Stephen have just returned from Kenya completing the class they intended to lead before Shelly's passing.

Consider Your Roots: Doctrines - Pete Ramsey

Psalm 92:12-15. Laws of "Life." Core layers of our faith: name of God, son of God, word of God, love of God and law of God. Like trees, when we let outside factors influence our core beliefs, they begin to rot! A solid core creates a stable spirit.

Col. 2:6-8; Mark 7:8; 1 Cor. 11:2; Acts 2:42, 44-47. Are we allowing our traditions to obstruct or overshadow our heritage or are we allowing our heritage to empower and guide our traditions?
